Winding Stairs Festival adds Thursday night events

So many fun-filled activities have been scheduled for this year’s Winding Stairs Festival that it had to be expanded to include an additional evening. “Tailgating on Second Street” festivities will kick-off at 4:00pm, Thursday, August 6, at the North Tama Athletic Complex. All events that evening will be at the complex only.

Here are some of the planned events: Best Tailgating Set-up Contest – Have fun! Be creative! Set-up begins at 4:00pm, judging at 5:30pm, prizes awarded at 6:00pm. Punt, Kick, Pass Competition from 4:00pm-6:00pm Redhawks Football Team football signing from 5:00pm-5:30pm North Tama Sports Awards at 6:15pm

Football Camp Wrap-up – Fans welcome to watch from 6:15pm-8:00pm

North Tama Teen Girls vs Family Softball Game from 6:30pm-7:30pm

Alumni Old Timers Slow Pitch Softball Game from 7:30pm-9:00pm Family Movie Under the Stars on outdoor screen at 9:00pm

Awards, support our local athletes and watch a family movie under the stars. For those not tailgating the concession stand will be open.
