Kaufmann showcases skills

Noah Kaufmann (North Tama class of 2017) participated in Iowa Western’s 3rd Annual Hogs & Hybrids Offensive/Defensive Lineman Showcase this past summer. The invite-only showcase features about 40 offensive lineman, tight ends, and defensive lineman 2017 prospects from the across state of Iowa in a competitive atmosphere. Athletes participate in and are evaluated on drills and tests such as the 40-yard-dash and one-on-one offense vs defense drills. Noah tied for the most in the bench press test, pressing 185 pounds 27 times.

The Iowa Western Reivers, Council Bluffs, were the 2012 NJCAA National Champions and are currently ranked #6 in the NJCAA National Rankings. Participating in the showcase is not only an honor but also allows for athletes to work with coaches from IWCC for the day as well.

Noah has started on the offensive and defensive lines for North Tama since his freshman year. Offensively, he has played center and right guard. On the defensive side he as been a nose tackle, defensive end, and left tackle. Last season he earned a spot on the First Team All District. Noah is the son of Paul and Brenda Kaufmann of Traer.
