This Saturday, Dec. 3, the Traer Gift and Craft Show combines with Traer Lions Soup Day to create a fun-filled shopping and eating experience.

Shoppers enjoying the Holiday Happenings events should make the Traer Memorial Building one of their stops, as lots of crafters and vendors display their goods, while the Traer Lions cook up good food for all. Hours for the craft/gift show are 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the Lions Club will serve from 10:30 to 2 p.m.

Crafters will be displaying wonderful jewelry items, holiday centerpieces, cozy caps and mittens, wooden items, ornaments, bears and bunnies, baked goods galore (kolaches, breads, and cookies for example), cleaning products, spices, baskets, jams, jellies, clothing, kitchen items and so much more. Christmas shopping and baking done with local vendors!

Besides all the individual crafters, this show includes some special groups. St. Paul Rosary Society has their annual Cookie Sale here, Traer United Presbyterian crafters have some tables, as does a Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) team with handmade items for sales.

Profits from the Traer Lions Soup Day go to the Iowa Lions Foundation. Profits from the craft show rentals benefit a Traer community project.
