Knights get first win of 2017 with victory at V-S

After an opening night defeat at Marion, the Union football team earned their first win of the 2017 season with a 42-14 thrashing of Vinton-Shellsburg.

Quarterback Troy Hanus was 11-of-20 for 234 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Koby Alpers. Alpers had 134 yards receiving and two touchdowns, and Kaleb Roach rushed 14 times for 88 yards and touchdown.

The Knights kick off their first home game of the season this Friday, September 8 at 7:30 p.m. against Monticello.
