Reasons for seeking Office of Sheriff:

Build Partnerships within Cities, Townships, and Indian Country of Tama County. Sheriff’s Departments should work as one unit- not separate entity approach. No services should be limited based on current divides, but rather working timelessly and aggressively on any departmental agreements that benefit all people of the county. Work with City Councils and Townships on expanding the Sheriffs Department role on new servicing contact ideas, potentially providing cost savings to their respected budgets.

Establish hiring practices that includes the diversity of its core patrol deputies, that’s based on the residents of the county we reside in, which should include minority hiring and female hiring as our patrolling deputies. Utilizing and applying for federal grants opportunities since there is a federally recognized tribe in its jurisdiction. A fiscally responsible Sheriff isn’t always a conservative one, it can have future unforeseen costs, as your Sheriff I see a future of new ideas to provide cost saving opportunities to our county, our city governments, and our citizens by partnering, thus saving tax-payers money so it can be reinvested into their communities.
