Black Hawk County Conservation is announcing its 1st annual photography contest. The contest is open to amateur photographers only. Photos must be original to the photographer and must be taken between January 1, 2021 and October 15, 2021. All photos must be taken in parks and areas managed by Black Hawk County Conservation. There are four categories for the contest: Wild Life, Landscapes, Recreation, and On the Go: Cellphone Photos Only. Winning photographs will be enlarged and printed on a quality medium, then be displayed in the Hartman Reserve Interp Building November 1-30. After the show, the photo art will be awarded to the entrants. “Best in Show” photo will be featured on the cover of the new Black Hawk County Parks Guide, to be released in January 2022.
