Mildred I. Wrage, 82

Mildred “Millie” Irene Wrage was born on July 15, 1931, in Panora, Iowa, the daughter of David and Bonnie (Anderson) Gustin.

Millie grew up in Panora and Guthrie Center. On October 22, 1947, she was united in marriage to Ralph Wrage in Jefferson City, Iowa. The couple first made their home in Gladbrook and began farming. They then moved to a farm near Buckingham, Iowa where they farmed for fifty years. She loved flowers, dancing, fishing, and riding horses. Millie was a member of the Iowa Polka Club, Zion Lutheran Church and bowling leagues. Millie died on Friday, January 17, 2014, at the age of 82 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Suites in Traer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Bonnie Jo; a sister, JoAnn Badger; a sister in law, Hertha Liscom; two brothers in law, Gus and Leslie; and a son in law, Jerry Newell. Millie is survived by three daughters, Carol Newell of Oklahoma, Barbara (Roy) Wright of Arkansas and Nancy (Myron) Engelhardt of Waterloo; a son, Larry (Lynn) Wrage of Waterloo; a sister, Josephine Corrigan of Earlham, Iowa; a brother in law, John (Marlis) Wrage of Dysart; and numerous nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
