Debra L. Sells, 56

Debra Lynn Sells was born on January 8, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa: the daughter of David and Carol (Hansen) Brown. She graduated from Reinbeck High School with the class of 1976. Deb was united in marriage to Tim Sells on November 8, 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in Cedar Falls until the purchase of their first home in Waterloo. Deb and Tim made their home in Dysart in 1994, and she was the head cook at Union Elementary School in Dysart. She enjoyed horses, dogs, sales and auctions. Deb’s favorite color was turquoise and she loved decorating with peacock feathers. She was always happy and smiling.

Deb died on Saturday, August 2, 2014 in an automobile accident east of Traer at the age of 56. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Glen and Eva Brown and her maternal grandfather Fay Hansen. Deb is survived by her father David Brown and her mother Carol Brown of Waterloo; her maternal grandmother Blanche Hansen of Waterloo; her husband Tim of Dysart; a son Kevin Sells and a daughter Kylee Sells, both of Dysart; 3 brothers: Steven (Lou Ann) Brown of LaPorte City, Brian (Denise) Brown of Monrovia, Indiana and Mark (Brenda) Brown of Grundy Center and a sister Renae (Lance) Golly of Burlington, Iowa. Deb will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
