Glenn William “Jake” Jacobsen was born February 26, 1921, the son of William and Lillian Jacobsen. Glenn passed away on August 6, 2014 at the Solon Nursing Care Center at the age of 93. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, a grandson and great-grandson. Glenn is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jean of Solon; 2 daughters: Mary Jean (Dan) Nace of Coralville and Kris (Ed) Gehl of Anamosa; 2 sons: Joel of Shelbyville, TN and G. Michael (Barb) of O’Fallon, MO; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to Iowa City Hospice, Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation or Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart and American Legion Post #166.
