Paul L. Karr, 77

Paul Leroy Karr was born on February 6, 1937, in rural Traer, Iowa, the son of Cleone and Thelma (Cone) Karr. Paul grew up in Dysart and attended school in Dysart. He was a local semi truck driver for Elliott Brother’s Truck Lines where he recently celebrated 50 years of employment. Paul enjoyed eating at the casino, stock car races, having coffee with his buddies and spending time with his family. Paul died at the age of 77 on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Dwain, Robert and Gaylord Karr. Paul is survived by his special girlfriend, Susan Hansen of Dysart; a son, Eric (Deb) Karr of Long Lane, Missouri; two brothers, Marvin (Dolores) Karr of Rudd, Iowa and Roger (Joyce) Karr of Denver, Iowa; and three sisters, Bernadine Liverman of New Bern, North Carolina, Phyllis Thoren of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Beverly (Delmar) Dreessen of Traer, Iowa. Paul will by dearly missed by all who knew him.
