UHS to host ReVoiced

ReVoiced The A Cappella Experience will be performing at Union High School in La Porte City, Iowa on Saturday, April 12that 7:00pm as part of the 2014 Music In Schools Tour.

ReVoiced is pure a cappella. No instruments, no background tracks. When you see them live, you won’t believe your ears! Starring five talented young men, reVoiced is the vocal quintet that will keep your “ears on their toes”.

The members of reVoiced have performed at some of the most renowned venues in the world, and together, the group has electrified audiences on international cruise lines and performing arts centers across the country. Not just relying on powerhouse vocals, these young men bring a sleek style and professional showmanship to create an engaging, fun, and inspiring experience for audiences of all ages.

The tour was conceived and coordinated by Nate Mendl, a graduate of the UW-Madison School of Music and certified music teacher. The goal of the program is to encourage participation in the arts and music and to inspire high school students across the country by bringing in professionally touring musical acts. In past years Mendl has brought Rockapella, The Cat’s Pajamas Vocal Band, and UW-Madison groups MadHatters and Redefined to schools throughout the Midwest, but 2014 is the most exciting tour yet. “After seeing reVoiced’s jaw dropping show and incredible stage presence, having them as a part of the tour was a no brainer,” says Mendl. “Students will have an up close opportunity to meet and work with members of reVoiced, whose passion for music and performing is contagious. Their dedication to their craft is immediately apparent and they’ve already elevated the tour to new heights.”
