Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Club Dysart hosted the annual Easter Egg Hunt last weekend in City Park. The Easter Egg Hunt has been a tradition in Dysart for nearly as long as any of us can remember. In years past people have braved the snow, rain, cold, and wind to come out and celebrate Easter. This year, even despite the wind the weather was wonderful. The sun was shinning bright and was warm enough to keep the winter jackets at home.

The hunt was scheduled to begin around 10 am. Families started showing up at the park and all of the kids started to get anxious for the fun that was about to happen. All the children received a number, this helps keeps an attendance, and make sure all the kids get the same amount of eggs and toys. This year there was nearly 110 kids who came out to the Easter Egg Hunt. Each child was allowed to hunt and find 3 eggs and after that they were invited into the picnic shelter where they were able to pick out three toys as well. The toys ranged from books, kites, action figures, candy and more.

All of our favorite local businesses also help make the Easter Egg Hunt a success every year by donating the toys and prizes for the children. A huge thank you to Club Dysart and everyone who donated their time, money, and efforts into making this a success. As much as the children love to race around and find candy I’m sure their families and loved ones appreciate the tradition of being able to watch them do so year after year.
