North Tama Volleyball

The North Tama Volleyball girls defeated Dunkerton on Wednesday, Oct. 19. With this win the girls advance to the next round of regional play.

The scores for the games were 25-12, 25-21 and 25-19.

Chelsea Dinsdale was 24 serves with one miss and six aces. Dinsdale also had 5 kills out of her 11 attempts. Shannon Stuart had eight kills out of her 18 attempts. Aryn Isenhower had 31 assists for the evening and one kill. Allison Zobel had 11 serves with only one error from the line and 9 kills with only 2 errors as well as having three ace serves. Josie Youel had 7 kills out of her 15 attempts. Sydney Fehr had eight kills out of her 17 attempts and two block assists. Whitney Schirm had one kill out of her three attempts, one dig and was seven for seven in serves with two aces.

Head Coach Stan Upah commented, “These girls played tough at Dunkerton and dominated the match with a quicker offense and an agressive defense.

I’m very proud of these girls, they are determined to win and have won 11of their last 14 matches. They are peaking at the right time of the season and are getting stronger every match. I believe this team has the ability to win regionals and compete at the state level. “
