Alarm stops burglary of local business

On Thursday, June 11 at around midnight, Silver Streak Lanes and Restuarant was broken into. Entry was forced into a window on the side of the building. Once inside the would be thieves tripped the alarm and fled the building using the front door.
A Tama County Sheriff’s deputy was near by and heard the alarm and responded in minutes.
Nothing was taken, but the building and window sustained $250 in damages.
Items of evidence were recovered and the incident is under investagation.
