Dreamfield Village a memory if goal is not met by June 30

At the monthly Dysart City council meeting held at City Hall in Dysart on June 10, the Dreamfield Village capital campaign chairs Dennis and Helen Wieben were present to make the council aware that the committee had previously met to discuss the future of Dreamfield Village. So far, the campaign has raised $630,000 from pledges, of the one million dollar goal. With the realization that the other $370,000 seems not to be a reasonable dollar amount to continue to raise. The finance committee is recommending that the project be abandoned as of June 30 if the remaining amount is not met. With four yes votes from the council (King absent), the recommendation from the finance committee to abandon the senior housing project on June 30, under the above circumstances, was approved. Any pledges already received so far from donors will be returned to them by September 1, 2009.
