The Dysart Community Foundation

The Dysart Community Foundation met May 19, 2009 at the Dysart City Hall. Board members Don Lyons, Ryan Moody, Pam Thiele, Ruth Schafbuch and Rick Krug Trustee were present. The DDC and the Dysart American Legion have been asked to appoint a board member to represent their organization on the Dysart Community Foundation. If after 60 days a board member hasn’t been chosen to represent their organization, one will be appointed by the Board of Directors of the Farmers Savings Bank & Trust-Traer. The meeting agenda and the previous meetings minutes were approved and Trustee Rick Krug gave an updated financial report.

Pam Thiele made a motion to approve and have the officers sign the attorneys document of the “First Amendment to Declaration of Trust” that was written at the March 30, 2009 meeting. Seconded by Don Lyons and the motion passed. Nine grant application forms were received applying for the $4,512.10 in 2009 grant money that was approved to be distributed for 2009. After discussion and consideration, Ryan Moody made a motion to approve the following grant money for projects of local non profit organizations, seconded by Ruth Schafbuch and approved by the board.
