Local business suffers damaging break-in

The Gas-N-Grub convience store was broken into sometime late Sunday, June 28 or early Monday morning, June 29.

The sheriff’s department was notified at 5:40 a.m. on Monday, June 29 by one of the owners.

The suspects broke the glass out of the entrance door, causing several hundred dollars worth of damage.

The suspects stole alcohol and tobacco products and used the existing letters on the outdoor sign to write profanity.

The break-in is under investigation by the Tama County Sheriff’s Department.
