Summer Reading Program receives grant

Steve Foster, member of the Traer Community Foundation, presenting a check to Laurie Schafer. The two are surrounded by the children attending the summer reading program on June 17. The money is being used to supplement the summer reading programs at the Traer Library this summer. Laurie Schafer has been leading the June Wednesday afternoon sessions entitled “Be Creative.” The Accelerated Reader program for all elementary children runs through the entire summer.
