Hope For The Hopeless Through Latin America Childcare
On November 10-19, men & women, boys & girls, 18 in number, three different denominations journeyed down to San Jose, Costa Rica to minister spiritually as well as physically to children sponsored by caring individuals through LACC (Latin America Child Care). The gals painted in the kidner area while the guys built a walkway shelter from the heavy rains for the kindergarten class.
LACC, which has its headquarters in Springfield, Mo. is a wonderful organization giving hope, a christian education, food & clothing to boys and girls caught in areas of the highest drug and slum areas in many different parts of the world. The school is highly dependent upon their sponsors for support. Through this, children receive an education, a Christmas present and a birthday gift. For many this will be the only gift received on these holidays. For many of us, it cannot be comprehended until one sees it; the hopeless devasting conditions in which these dear ones are forced to live in. We can make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than us. If anyone is interested in going with a group and participating or sponsoring a child, through LACC, please call 319-345-6390.
