Newton to celebrate 90th birthday
Leslie B. Newton will be celebrating his 90th birthday with a card shower. He was born February 9, 1920 in Waterloo, the son of Albert C. and Eva (Romine) Newton. He married Geneva Riley on September 10, 1942. Gen passed away September 2, 2003. Les lives and farmed in the La Porte City area, retiring just a few short years ago.
He has two daughters, Cathie (Juddson) Bristow and Julie (Michael) McLaughlin and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Newton. His son, Joel, is deceased. Les has seven grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
