Harry Thoms will be celebrating his 85th Birthday on July 22. Harry was born in Grundy County in 1925. His parents were William & Clara (Ramundt) Thoms. He married Marilyn Claussen on June 4, 1954 at the Amity Presbyterian Church, rural Reinbeck. Harry served in the Army during the Korean War Conflict. He farmed the majority of his life on the Claussen Family farm by Gladbrook. His children are: Becky (Steve) Fevold, Gladbrook; Dianne (Eric) Brown, Zearing; and Roger (Linda) Thoms of Aaronsburg, Pennsylvania.

Harry has seven grandchildren: Katie & Cody Fevold; Will, Sam & Zach Brown and Ethan & Jason Thoms. He was the 2nd of 5 children, his siblings include Raymond (deceased), Dorothy Willems of Tripoli, Harold (deceased) and Charles of Waterloo. A family celebration will take place at a later date.
