The Tama Extension office will host a Roadside, Forest and Aquatic Pest Management Continuing Instructional Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009. The program can be seen at locations across Iowa through the Iowa State University Extension Pest Management and the Environment (PME) Program.The local site for the Oct. 21 CIC is the Tama County Extension Office at 203 W. High Street in Toledo. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by sessions 9 to 11:30 a.m. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact the Tama Extension office by phoning 641-484-2703.The 2009 course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 2 (Forest Pest Control); 5 (Aquatic Pest Control); 6 (Right-of-Way Pest Control) and 10 (Demonstration and Research).
