Tabitha Grandon and her son Hunter Grandon, 4, take a moment to relax Wednesday, August 18 after setting up stalls and unloading 13 dairy goats in the Swine Barn at the Iowa State Fair. Tabitha and her grandparents Ron and Anne Dengler of Dysart show Alpine, LaMancha, and Recorded Grade dairy goats in the Open Class. The Denglers have been showing at the fair for 32 years, Ron said, under the herd name R’nr Acres. Tabitha began showing when she was just three years old. Ron’s hope this year for his and Tabitha’s entries is to stay in the top half, he said.
