News & notes from the Traer Public Library….

In consultation with the Library Board members and city officials, the library will remain open. We will be practicing social distancing. To do this:

All programming has been canceled – including the ones that meet regularly once a week or once a month

The computer lab and virtual reality are closed

All toys, crafts and puzzles have been removed from the children’s area

If people are not able to maintain social distancing they will be asked to leave

Library surfaces will be cleaned regularly – at least twice a day and probably more

As books and DVDs are returned they will be wiped with disinfectant.

If you need materials but are not comfortable coming in the library, please call ahead and we will gather items for you. When you arrive at the library, call again and we will bring the items out to you in your car.

If it is mandated or if the virus shows up in Tama County, we will close. So, please make an effort to come in as soon as possible to check out books, DVDs. audios, magazines, and puzzles.

EBooks, Audios, Magazines & Movies are available through BRIDGES. If you need assistance in getting an account set up so you can access all the on line resources, please call or email the library.
