Tom and Brandi Harmsen of Dysart wish to announce the birth of their first child, a daughter. Alivia Anne Harmsen was born Thursday, Jan. 22 at 10:44 p.m. at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

She weighed 6 lbs. 2.6 ozs. and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Grandparents are Paul Burhenn of Dysart, Rhonda Burhenn of Grinnell and Jim and Cecelia Harmsen of Reinbeck.

Great-grandparents are Phyllis Burhenn of Dysart, Lucille McConnell of Sumner, Catherine McLean of Traer and Donald Harmsen of Reinbeck.
