Television

By Sean Dengler

I Love Lucy, ER, The Office, CSI, and Lost all have something in common. They are all television shows. Television shows have been around for quite sometime. Many students watch television.I, myself, usually try to watch television every morning to get my fill on the news of the day. I like to know what is going on in the world. It started out when I was younger, watching cartoons. Now I am up to news programs. Also, television gets me moving in the mornings when I could be sleeping. Besides watching the news every morning, I watch some television at night when I do not have homework. Being in sports, there is less time to watch television. I definitely do not watch television as much as when I was younger. I could go hours on end watching television, but now I get bored sometimes watching it more than one and a half hours. I watch television two hours each night or when I do not have homework, said freshman Brian Seda.

Watching television after homework is typical with some students. There is usually not much to do on weeknights. Many students either watch television, go on the internet, or play video games. Most students do not watch television as much as they used to.Freshman Erica Podhajsky said, “I do not watch television all that much; I usually watch movies for entertainment.”Most students watch movies a lot too. Movies are a good source of entertainment, and listening to music is also typical among high school students. Television is an important part of the American life. Almost every family has a television so nearly everyone has watched television in their life. Either if a person watches a lot, some, or nothing at all a person has watched the old tube. Television was a great invention and still is.
