Arielle (Belle) Weber of Buckingham was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship to pursue a degree in medicine.

MercyOne Friends of Cedar Falls Medical Center selected six recipients this year to receive a $1,000 scholarship including Weber. The scholarships are awarded thanks to generous donations and matching funds from the RJ McElroy Trust.

Weber — the daughter of Brian and Deb Weber — is a 2021 Union High School graduate. She is studying cell and molecular biology at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. After earning a bachelor’s degree, Weber plans to apply for and attend medical school.
