What motivated you to run for school board? I have four children that will grow up in this school district and want to be involved in their education and the decisions being made for our community.
What qualities and behaviors should school board members exhibit? Educated, open minded, and committed to doing what is best for our community
What do you see as the primary roles and responsibilities for the position you are running for? Representing the community and making decisions to ensure a safe, quality, and enjoyable education experience for our students.
What do you feel are the three most important issues the school board will face during your (anticipated) term as a school board member? How do you plan to address those issues? Political agendas playing roles in school system decisions, school enrollment numbers in a small community, teacher morale and maintaining quality staff members for our school. I will be a team member with other board members to make educated decisions that are what is best for our community. Parent voices need to be heard and respected in all these decisions.
Why should people vote for you on November 2, 2021? Having an education degree and classroom experience, I will bring a needed perspective to the board. I have four children that will go through this school system and I want to see this be the best experience for them, and our entire community.
