Community shower for expectant mothers to be held in Tama

A community baby shower will be held on June 4 from 9 a.m. to noon at the South Tama Elementary Cafeteria in Tama.
Any expecting mother that attends will receive a free diaper bag and will be entered to win a free car seat or a pack n’ play. Shower participants will receive newborn supplies including diapers and wipes in addition to learning about resources available to support a newborn’s healthy start.
Those interested in attending should fill out a confidential survey guaranteeing them entry into the event and a free diaper bag. The event is being coordinated by the Better Tomorrows organization that serves both Tama and Benton counties.
