Classmates of the Traer High School Class of 1961 will be celebrating their 80th birthdays with an informal party celebration at the Traer Historical Museum on Saturday afternoon, August 12 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In May 1961, 44 young folks who were prepared to launch into life, received their diplomas. The following year, the school, then known as Traer Community School, became Traer-Clutier Community School. Today, 19 classmates are deceased.

Roger Kubik will be entertaining with his accordion, playing a few polkas for some hand-clappin’ toe-tappin’ fun. Everyone is welcome to stop by to relax, reminisce and share favorite memories to help these folks celebrate their milestone 80th birthdays.
