Calling all homeschoolers!

TRAER – The Traer Historical Museum would like to reach out to families who homeschool their children. The museum is full of interesting history, including how Traer came to be a town, the importance of Tama Jim Wilson on a national level, the unbelievable number of rings on a tree lost in the derecho in the park, what country schools looked like, information about all the wars our country has engaged in, plus so much more! Give us a call to schedule a visit and we’ll help you address history standards!

We would also like to remind everyone we are open every Wednesday afternoon from 2-5 p.m. from now until Oct. 30. Following that date, the museum will be open by appointment. We welcome visitors who want to learn more about the history of our community!
