DYSART – Dysart’s 23rd annual Car, Truck & Bike Show brought Main Street to life on Friday, July 18, with a record number of entries and visitors. The annual event brought out crowds from across the region to admire a dazzling variety of vehicles and enjoy an evening of classic cars, unique bikes, and community fun.

More than 175 vehicles lined the streets — from beautifully restored classics and eye-catching customs to bikes that turned heads all on their own. Visitors strolled through rows of cars and chatted with vehicle owners while enjoying music and food vendors. All sponsorship and entry money from the car show stays local and the Dysart Chamber of Commerce donates it back to organizations in the Dysart community.

“We’re thrilled with this year’s turnout,” Nicole Taylor, president of the Dysart Chamber, said. “It’s amazing to see how much this event has grown and how many people come together to make it a success. We’re so thankful to everyone — participants, sponsors, volunteers, and visitors — who helped make this year’s show one to remember.”

Trophies were awarded in several categories, including Best of Show which went to Keith Dietrich of Williamsburg for his 1959 Chevy Apache. Local winners included Lizzie Fontanini of Dysart who took second place in Top 2 Unfinished with a 1973 Pontiac Catalina, and Levi Harrill of La Porte City who took second place in Top 2 Rat Rods with a 1930 Studebaker Erskine. Brian Sienknecht of Traer was also part of the Top 40 entries with a 1970 Plymouth Superbird.

Planning is already underway for next year’s show and the Dysart Chamber promises it will be even bigger and better.
