Dustin and Jennifer Schmelzle of Adel are proud to announce the birth of their first child, a boy, Wyatt James was born on January 30 and weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long.

Grandparents are Tom and Teresa Schaefer of Boone and Goose and Rosie Schmelzle of St. Genevieve, Mo. Great garndmother is Blanche Halupnick of Traer.
