Higgins, Moe honored as 50-year Chapter EC members

JoAnn Higgins and Carolyn Moe were recently honored as 50 year members of P.E.O.

Chapter EC of P.E.O. recently celebrated JoAnn Higgins and Carolyn Moe’s 50 years of membership in the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Both women have demonstrated their commitment to the chapter by serving in a number of offices and committees. They have devoted countless hours to the fulfillment of P.E.O. goals for the advancement of women.

Chapter EC was founded in Traer on April 27, 1911. Members have participated in a variety of philanthropic projects throughout the chapter’s one hundred and four year history. Most notably, the chapter has awarded $8500 to twenty-one female graduates of North Tama High School. Chapter EC’s scholarship illustrates P.E.O.’s commitment to providing educational opportunities to women.
