#2 Union faces #1 Fayette in battle of unbeatens

The Union Knights went on the road to beat a talented Waukon team 37-16 last Friday, inching ever closer to an undefeated regular season.

Union (7-0) relied on another solid rushing performance from Isaiah Vaughn, who racked up 126 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Troy Hanus was 12-of-19 through the air for 139 yards.

Britton Rolison was also productive in the run game, gaining 77 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown. Koby Alpers had six receptions for 65 yards and John Boisen had four for 66.

Michael Ahrendsen had four tackles including one for a loss, along with a sack on the defensive side. The pass rush was solid for the Knights, with Daycen Douglas, Jace Glenn and Brady Rempe all recording one sack each. Drew Edwards had an interception in the game.

Union stays on the road for a tough contest with undefeated North Fayette Valley (7-0) this Friday night, with the final regular season game back at home on October 21 against Cascade (5-2).
