Private applicator course information
Due to COVID-19, the private pesticide applicator Continuing Instruction Course (P-CIC) program will have additional recertification options this year. Applicators have until April 15, 2021, to attend a P-CIC program. Please contact the county Extension Office to discuss options that might work for you to attend a training.
Following is a list of options that are available through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Tama County. All options require preregistration by calling the office at 641-484-2703. Cost for any of the options is $20.
1. Live in-person meetings with your field agronomist, practicing social distancing, and wearing masks. This option will be held in Tama county on March 25 at 6:30 pm in Traer. All other sessions have been filled.
2. In-person meetings in small groups at your county extension office with a prerecorded video. These will be shown on Wednesday afternoons 2-4 pm in February only. Social distancing and masks will be required at this time.
3. Live Virtual P-CIC with ISU PSEP. You will connect from your home or another place with a good internet connection. Contact your county extension office to preregister. Once payment has been received, you will receive by email a link to join the training from your device.
• Feb. 11 from 9-11:30 a.m.
• Feb. 18 from 9-11:30 a.m.
• Mar. 1 from 1-3:30 p.m.
• Mar. 16 from 7-9:30 p.m.
• Apr. 6 from 7-9:30 p.m.
• Apr. 12 from 1-3:30 p.m.
