Erhardt sworn in for Traer seat

The Traer city council held the swearing in of newly appointed council member James Erhardt during their regular meeting on April 5.

Erhardt was appointed by the council to fill the vacancy of Steve Foster who recently relocated outside of Traer city limits.

The council term Erhardt is taking over will expire at the end of 2021, leaving the seat up for election in November.

Traer voters will see three city positions on their November ballot including council seats being held be Erhardt and Laurie Schafer as well as the mayor’s seat held by Pete Holden.

In his appointed role on the council, Erhardt will act as the finance chairperson overseeing the city budget, the library and special projects.
