It was an enchanted night of festivities on Saturday, April 2, in Traer for North Tama High School students and their guests as the school held its annual prom. The night began with the Prom Grand March in the Redhawks Nest. Attendees walked out onto the gym’s stage under a dreamlike arch of vining flowers and greenery with wooden pine trees situated along the sides. Following the grand march, students made their way downtown to Traer Memorial Building for dinner and a dance. Prom dresses this season are appearing in a variety of colors while trending sleeveless with long, sweeping trains, trumpet/mermaid silhouettes, and open backs featuring intricate strapping. North Tama’s After Prom took place back at the high school where students fell under the spell of a hypnotist, played games including 9 Square and Dodgeball, and held a Bags tournament. -All photos courtesy Amy Lidgett/Amy’s Images
