Beginning Monday, May 2, drivers along Iowa Highway 8 in Tama County’s Clark Township encountered a road closure between the junction with Iowa Highway 21 west of Dysart and county road V18 east of Traer.

The project was let earlier this year and includes the removal and replacement of an existing box culvert under Iowa Highway 8 at Rock Creek, located just under a half mile west of Iowa Highway 21.

Construction is expected to last into July of this year with through traffic being detoured north along Iowa Highway 21, west along county road D65 toward Buckingham and then south on U.S. 63 towards Traer.
