The Traer Historical Museum held its annual meeting on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the museum. Twenty people attended the event. President Mark Watson opened the meeting, thanking our board members and our loyal volunteers. Visitors were given a tour of the museum, which is in the process of updating displays. Plans are to have it completed by August 2022. Visitors are invited to stop in and see our newly completed projects as well as those in progress.

Vice President, Carol Boyce, introduced Sharon Bolt who has been selected as one of the recipients of the Governors’ Volunteer Award. Sharon is a long-time board member of the Museum and a dedicated volunteer at the Traer Public Library and the Salt & Pepper Shaker Gallery as well. She was presented with flowers and will be honored at a banquet in Des Moines at a later date. She is pictured with her daughter June.

At the conclusion of the meeting, we all enjoyed refreshments and fellowship.
