The Tama County Fair Association will be having its annual Fair Challenge during the 2022 Tama County Fair. Everyone is invited to enter. This year’s theme is “Recycle, Rescue, Restore, or Reuse.”

Take any old item and create a unique decoration or functional piece. A headboard becomes a bench! Turn gameboard pieces into a clock! Do you have an old wooden chair with no legs? Make it into an outside swing!  Use your imagination!  Team up and work as a group, work all by yourself, or invite someone in your community to get involved.

Creations must be brought to the fairgrounds office on Monday, July 11, between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. or Tuesday, July 12, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. All Challenge entries will be auctioned off during the Opening Ceremonies on Tuesday, July 12, at 7:00 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Tama County Fair Scholarship Fund.

We encourage anyone in the community to join us at the Tama County Fair. Any questions about the Tama County Fair Challenge can be directed to Bruce Kucera at 319-231-1168.
