Dysart Golf Car Cruise set for August 10

Dysart will hold its 10th annual City Golf Car Cruise on Wednesday, August 10. Everyone with a golf car is invited to take part in the cruise. The event is being sponsored by the Dysart H.A.T. Team and the DDC. The theme this year is “Catch the Spirit! Sesquicentennial ’23 Kickoff Cruise.” Participants are invited to decorate their golf cars. Prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, Most Humorous, and Patriotic.

Registration will take place on Main Street beginning at 5:00 p.m. and the cruise will begin at 6:00 p.m. At 6:30 p.m. following the cruise, there will be drawings on Main Street for “door prizes” among the “Golf Car Cruise” participants. Visitors are invited to bring a lawn chair and join the fun. Everyone will certainly want to enjoy smoothies and supper at venues downtown during the evening. Free popcorn will be available for everyone.

Participants are reminded that according to Dysart City Ordinance, all golf car drivers must have a valid driver’s license. Each golf car must be equipped with a slow-moving vehicle sign, a bicycle safety flag, and adequate brakes.

The rain date for the Golf Car Cruise is Thursday, August 11. If you have any questions, please contact Pat Hansen or Jackie Hennessy for more information.
