Traer’s annual Halloween Costume Contest set for Oct. 31

Gather your goblins and ghouls for the annual Traer Chamber of Commerce Halloween Costume Contest!

The contest is open to all children ages zero to 11/12 years of age (or 6th grade).

The contest will take place Monday, October 31, at the Traer Memorial Building. Registration begins immediately after school with the Costume Contest starting at 4:00 p.m.

Awards this year include Most Original and Best All-Around. Costume prizes will be awarded for age groups 0-2 years; 3-4 years; 5-6 years; 7-8 years; 9-10 years; 11/12 years (or 6th grade). All participants will receive a goodie bag.

Trick-or-Treat Main Street will take place following the costume contest at approximately 4:30 p.m. at all participating downtown businesses – look for the pumpkin in the window.

Trunk-or-Treat for businesses without a Main Street storefront will be set up outside the Memorial Building and will follow the costume contest.
