The meeting was called to order on Dec. 12 at 6:04 p.m. at The Junkyard Bar. Members in attendance were Lisa Eikamp, Kris Whitmore, Martin Halstead, Meghan Renslow, and Donna DeBoef. Guests in attendance were Madison Snider, Kelly Jantzen.

Minutes from the October meeting were presented. Meghan Renslow made a motion to approve October Minutes, Kris Whitmore seconded motion. October Minutes approved. Minutes from the November Annual Dinner Meeting were presented. Martin made a motion to approve Annual Dinner Minutes, Lisa Eikamp seconded motion. November Annual Dinner Minutes approved by the Board.

Meghan presented the financial statement. Cindy will transfer financials to Kelly Jantzen at Farmers Savings Bank. Kelly Jantzen will help and learn responsibilities to become Treasurer.

Invoices and financials were approved by Lisa Eikamp and Martin Halstead, with payments approved for Annual dinner and Holiday Happening expenses, KT Kennedy Consulting for social media November and December, storage for the Trolly.

Old Business

-Chris Hansen is November’s Look Local First drawing winner.

-Lisa will order “I <3 Traer buttons for the Sesquicentennial. -Grants: Meghan is writing a letter of extension to Traer Community Foundation for 2022 grant money needing to be used for the monument landscaping in the Spring. -Meghan will purchase things for Santa's Workshop repairs and decorations. -Donna will write a Tama County Community Foundation Grand for a 3rd monument bow. The deadline is January 15. -Sound system was installed. Still need to hang 2 speakers on the west and east end of block. We will get this invoice paid. New Business

-Our new 2023 Chamber Members-Kristina Jones, Perfect Circle.

-We have a separate account for the Monuments, that will have a $0 balance after invoices are paid. This account will then be closed.

-Kelly will look at the accounting tools for financials, the Chamber Bucks account & putting a “void after date” on Chamber Bucks’. We will discuss this more at next meeting.

-We discussed putting a frame under the Santa House, we will reach out to Hawkeye CC/ Mr. Jantzen.

-We would like to have another board member on the Gmail account. We will ask new members at the next meeting.
