TRAER – A Bohnstengel Cousins Reunion was held on July 29 at the Shelter House in Taylor Park, Traer, Iowa. Descendants of Fred and Mary (Krambeck) Bohnstengel gathered for a potluck lunch and an afternoon of visiting. Fred and Mary were married on Sept. 22, 1887, and had eight children including John, Willie, William, Roy, Emma, Maggie, Louis and Ed. Roy’s daughter, Arlene Bohnstengel Posusta, pictured front center, was the oldest reunion attendee at 98 years old. Her great-grandson, Tyler Posusta was the youngest attending. There were 57 in attendance. A good time of reminiscing and looking at pictures was had by all. Arlene is pictured with some of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, her niece, and their spouses.
