DYSART – The Dysart Main Street Pocket Park Celebration and Dedication was held on Thursday, August 31. The ribbon was cut by Vision Dysart’s past chairman Mary Behrens who was instrumental in the design of the park and in securing grants for the project.

A complete list of those who made the park possible is displayed with the pictures in the park. The Park was presented to Dysart Mayor Tim Glenn and the City of Dysart by Vision Club chairman Catharine Wieck who was assisted by the other Vision Dysart members including Janet Wilson, Sarah Carter, Peg Mullen and Deb Roettger.

HAT Team members Pat Hansen and Jackie Hennessy assisted in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Mayor accepted the park on behalf of the city.

Following the ceremony, the crowd enjoyed music by the Buck Hollow Band from Decorah, Iowa, and popcorn and cold drinks provided by Vision Dysart, a committee of the Dysart Development Corporation (DDC).
