TRAER – Sunrise Hill Care Center wishes to officially address recent rumors circulating about the facility’s imminent closure. Contrary to these unfounded claims, we want to reassure our community that Sunrise Hill Care Center is not closing its doors.

In the past year, Iowa has indeed faced the challenge of nursing home closures, with 29 facilities shutting down. However, Sunrise Hill Care Center has consistently maintained its commitment to providing exceptional care to the residents of Traer and its surrounding rural community.

We are proud to share that we recently achieved a significant milestone by receiving our third consecutive deficiency-free annual survey conducted by the Iowa Department of Inspection and Appeals. This accomplishment underscores our unwavering dedication to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in long-term care.

Marcy McNeal, the administrator of Sunrise Hill Care Center, emphasizes that our dedicated staff continues to focus on delivering top-notch care to our residents. We understand the importance of our role in the local community and are committed to remaining a cornerstone in providing quality care to those who call Sunrise Hill their home.

Sunrise Hill Care Center remains fully operational and open, and we look forward to continuing our mission of serving the needs of our community with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
