ALTOONA – Tama-Benton Cooperative is thrilled to announce that Dwaine Freemon has been awarded the prestigious title of Iowa Commercial Applicator of the Year at the Agribusiness Association of Iowa (AAI) Conference held in Altoona, Iowa, last month.

Freemon, an esteemed member of the Tama-Benton Cooperative team and Dysart resident, was selected from a pool of top candidates for his exceptional dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence in agricultural application practices. His extensive experience, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering professionalism have truly set him apart in the industry.

The Commercial Applicator of the Year award is a testament to Freemon’s outstanding contributions to Tama-Benton Cooperative and the agricultural community at large. His expertise and passion for his work have not only enhanced our operations but have also positively impacted the agricultural sector as a whole.

Tama-Benton Cooperative extends our heartfelt congratulations to Freemon on this remarkable achievement. We are incredibly proud to have him as part of our team, and we commend him for his hard work, dedication, and exemplary service.

In comments to the Telegraph following his win, Freemon wrote, “In the fall of 2020, I came to work for Tama-Benton Cooperative as an applicator and in 2021 became the manager of our Clutier location. I still spend the spring, summer and fall spraying, spreading and putting smoke in the ground (aka anhydrous). I’ve really enjoyed working at Tama-Benton Coop and getting to work with all the great employees here over the last few years.”

“Being an applicator is a great position to have! I get to see the countryside and communicate with all the farmers that we do business with. Being an applicator is one of those jobs that I can strive to do my best, and be able to go back and see how all the hard work and attention to detail pays off!”

Freemon and his wife Tricia live with their two daughters Alley and Marissa, and their son Houston in Dysart.
