TOLEDO – Last week’s Tama County Board of Supervisors meeting started off many locals’ Tuesday morning the right way. The county engineer began the meeting with his report, stating they have been out blading and shaping up roads.

Brush cutting will be done starting at D65 and then moving on towards O Avenue. While the weather is nice, they’ll work along the pond some; also, the K Avenue bridge has had all its concrete poured as they work on finishing up the project.

HR told the supervisors that they received $117,000 in medication rebates this year.

The Garwin 911 tower had a lease finalized with Verizon. The contract is for five years at $2,000 a month. The supervisors approved it.

A liquor license for Lucky Wife Wine Slushies based in Dysart was approved.

The Toledo Presbyterian Church was approved to use the Tama County Courthouse on Saturday, March 30 for their Easter Egg Hunt.

Claims totaling $66,792.77 were approved.
