TOLEDO – The Monday, March 18 meeting of the Tama County Board of Supervisors was a run-of-the-mill showing of parliamentary procedure with not too much on the agenda. The engineer kicked things off, like usual, reporting about the blading that had been done and the salt shipment that they’d received.

PCI has finished doing the dirt work for the K Avenue bridge, which is pretty much open. Contract rock is finishing this week.

The engineer had a Federal Aid Agreement signed and approved to replace the 300th Street bridge over Deer Creek at the edge of Toledo.

Also approved was a resolution to establish a 35-mile-per-hour speed limit on C Avenue and 290th Street.

Emma Peebles was approved to take over the tax on two properties.

Cody Servais got taxes abated on an abandoned mobile home that he intends to tear down in Dysart. Claims totaling $1,053,807.68 were approved.
